FOOD & DRINK

For all table bookings we strongly advise you pre-book your table.

This is not only to ensure you have a table reserved for you at a time you’d like and to avoid any disappointment on arrival, but also to allow us to be able to organise our seating arrangements in advance and in accordance with social distancing guidelines and to enable the safe operating of the pub for our customers and staff.

Due to being in tier 2, we are also unable to serve alcoholic drinks unless you are joining us for food.

We are still open and able to serve soft drinks, teas, coffees and snacks with no restrictions on sales.

We are in a tier 2 area and are currently unable to take any table bookings inside for more than 1 household or support bubble.

We do however have an undercover heated outdoor seating area, which we are able, and more than happy, to accommodate groups of up to 6 people for food or (non-alcoholic) drinks if not eating.

Food is being served 7 days a week at both lunchtimes and evening

Owners Royston and Caroline pride themselves on offering visitors superb hospitality in the manner of a traditional English
Country Inn.

Whether popping in just for a drink or joining us for a lunchtime snack or evening meal, we hope you enjoy your visit.

Our philosophy is to cook real food that is unpretentious, made with great ingredients and prepared fresh for you in our kitchen.
We use locally sourced ingredients where possible, and never knowingly GM, to produce a varied menu containing simple, yet excellent, food cooked with care and served to a high standard.
The world is our inspiration and in particular the wonderful locality of Exmoor in which we are situated.

In the wonderful old bar of our CAMRA recommended pub a wide range of drinks are served, we offer a large selection of West Country ales, local ciders & lagers, new and old world wines as well as locally produced small batch and speciality gins amongst other things.

Our selection of homemade food we offer ranges from traditional pub fayre to classic restaurant dishes and contemporary cuisine, as well as lighter bites and a varied selection of starters, a children’s menu is also available.

Booking is always advised.
